In the context of Hannover Messe 2023, brown-iposs GmbH has joined 5G-ACIA (Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation), the leading industry association for 5G in automation and industry, as 101st member. With this, brown-iposs underlines its commitment to the successful deployment of 5G in private 5G campus networks. The purpose of the membership is to actively participate in the association’s work in order to contribute its own expertise in the areas of mobile and IoT networks. In addition, the aim is to provide impetus for accelerated network expansion to policymakers and other stakeholders.

“We make 5G networks operable – that means that with our view on network quality and network deployment, we help to make private 5G networks usable for industry to profitably deploy them,” said Dr. Bernd Schröder, Managing Director and owner of brown-iposs GmbH. “With its substantive work and the bringing together of a wide variety of players, the 5G-ACIA massively supports the secure and reliable provision of wireless communication as an essential enabler of digitalization in production and logistics.”

Ecosystem for communication and automation in the industrial sector

The 5G-ACIA aims to build a secure ecosystem for communication and automation in the industrial sector. The focus of the association is on the manufacturing sector. Thus, numerous companies are organized in 5G-ACIA that have a need for consulting services and applications such as those offered by brown-iposs. For example, the analysis software CARAT (Classification and Root-Cause Analyzing Tool) of the Bonn-based company, which is designed for 2G to 5G mobile networks. With its help, problems and inconsistencies in mobile networks can be identified and their causes eliminated.

“Through the 5G ACIA membership, we are now even closer to the companies that can benefit from our solutions,” explains Dr. Bernd Schröder. In this way, we gain deeper insights into the issues that users are dealing with and can remove any barriers that may exist. “In addition, we want to drive the 5G network rollout with our solutions and are therefore constantly developing them further. Feedback from the market provides valuable guidance for us to meet the needs of enterprises.”

In addition, brown-iposs will share its extensive expertise in the field of mobile and IoT networks with the association members, but also with other stakeholders involved. In this way, decision-makers from politics and industry alike will be supported in promoting the spread of 5G. Corresponding measures for this are already being planned.

5G in view – 6G in mind

Although the rollout of the 5G network is still in progress, research projects already exist for the follow-up technology 6G. The 5G-ACIA is therefore already looking ahead to the mobile technology of the future. In the future, brown-iposs will support the association as a member in bundling the already existing know-how and thus positively influencing the further development of mobile communications.

About the 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation
